The roots of this project lie in Ontario and as we continue to grow into 2019 that is where the majority of our work will take place. Michael Wilson, host and farmer, grew up in Toronto and currently farms an hour north of the city in Sutton. Peter Wills, of Word and Data, also farms, and is based in Stirling, just north of Prince Edward County. Robin Clark, audio editor, is a journalist who grew up in Toronto and works for a media outlet in the city. Our hope is that by continuing to raise awareness about our food system and the changes that need to be made we can help turn the tide towards a more sustainable future. By celebrating the stories of farmers, local heroes, and agents of change we offer a narrative of hope and give these future leaders a platform to be heard from.
Our hope is that this story will help connect communities and help galvanize the nation. Let’s support local, organic, Canadian farms, let’s build healthy and vibrant communities, and let’s use this platform to push for social, political, and economic reform. Let’s come together to help create a society that works for all of us.
